In a new, hostile to Greece, action proceeded the muslim countries. They invited in the World Islamic Summit, which was held in Qatar (9-14 November 2000) "Northern Cyprus" and "Macedonia". "Northern Cyprus" was represented by "president" Rauf Denktas and foreign and defense "minister" Taxin Ertogruloglu. The Turkish deputy foreign minister Ogar Zial said that he expects the recognition of "Northern Cyprus" by as many muslim countries as possible.

The pseudostate, as our politicians call it hoping that with such taunts the Cyprus problem will be solved, took part in the Summit with observer status. This can be confirmed by visiting the table of the observer - states of the Summit. "Northern Cyprus" is referred as Turkish Muslim Community of Cyprus (Kibris), who takes part in the Islamic Summits since 1979. "Macedonia", as the whole world calls the Bulgarian state of Skopje, took part with guest status, as can be seen in the table of guest - states of the Summit. In addition the issue of the Western Thrace muslims was discussed, as the daily order of the Summit reports.

According to the Turkish-Cypriot newspaper "Birlik" (Union) "Qatar slammed the door on the face and banned from entering the country the Greek-Cypriots diplomats who attempted to go to the Summit". This is obviously the retribution of the muslim countries for the mosque building licence in Athens. Wake up Greeks and don't let the barbarians humiliate us.
