Hellenic Front regards as politically unacceptable the Tzannetakos nomination for the Athens-Piraeus prefecture by the the New Democracy party. Tzannetakos expresses ideologically the meanest internationalist views from the defence of the illegal immigrants to the spurious "Greek-Turkish friendship". One has to search very much on Greek territory to find anyone with more internationalist views that Tzannetakos.
Tzannetakos was one of the most fervent supporters of the "modernizing" PASOK of Simitis, mocking always at anything related to the nation, Greece, Orthodoxy, traditions. We find him always standing by groups that slander Greece for "human rights violations", such as the Helsinki Watch.
New Democracy proves once again that they are a party going along with the internationalist choices of the Left, a party without ideological identity, principles and history. It would be a shame for any right-winger to vote for the New Democracy's choice in the local elections, Tzannetakos.
Hellenic Front struggles to create an effective National Opposition Front in our homeland. We believe that the independent Hellenic Front local tickets in Athens, Piraeus, Thessalonica, Karditsa and Eastern Attica, will soon be completed with an inter-partisan ticket for the perfecture, which will express the broader patriotic forces which want to fight New Democracy's internationalist choices.
