Clear message

The People's Orthodox Rally (LAOS) and Georgios Karatzaferis are the big winners of the 2009 European elections in Greece.

The People's Orthodox Rally (LAOS) is now the 4th political power in the country, and in many electoral districts the 3rd. The Greek sent a clear message to the government:

Illegal immigration cannot be tolerated any more.

Criminality has to be cracked down.

University asylum has to be abolished.

Corruption in the public sector has to be wiped out.

Corrupt politicians have to be punished.

The name of Macedonia is non-negotiable.

Turkey should stay out of the European Union.

New Democracy has to decide: either they will build greater political and social alliances, so as to face the big issues of the Greek society, or they can continue with the failed and arrogant micro-management they practise for the last 5 years.

Giorgos Karatzaferis and LAOS have suggested a series of policies to face immediately the stagnant issues of our country. The Greek people have shown the direction. The Patriotic Movement will continue to expand its influence and its dynamic. The national ideas are at the forefront and anyone who ignores them will continue to lose.
